Our Story
Started with one dog, a torn ACL, and a promise.
Pawsitive Care opened in 2011 after our founder, Dr. Maya Alvarez, watched her own dog get rushed through a cold, clinical exam. She promised herself that if she ever opened a practice, every pet would get the time, patience, and warmth they deserved — no exceptions.
Fifteen years later, that promise is still the reason we schedule longer appointments, keep a stash of treats in every exam room, and let nervous pets take the visit at their own pace.
